How to capture the magical Northern Lights in outstanding photographs
Watching the Northern Lights dancing at the night sky is a magical experience - there is no doubt about that! But capturing this moment in an outstanding image is the cherry on the cake and probably the most satisfying feeling as landscape photographer!
You might already know that I live in Swedish Lapland during this winter, far above the Arctic Circle. And I got a lot of questions about how to capture the Northern Lights in the best way. How to keep yourself warm when photographing winter landscapes?
Photographing the scenic winter landscapes of Scandinavia can be an unforgettable experience. But the conditions above the Arctic Circle can be challenging, especially when you are waiting for the Northern Lights to show up at minus 20 degrees celsius or less. Being prepared with the correct clothing is crucial in order to keep your body warm and to make the photo shoot an epic one!
