For four days (incl. three nights), we will explore Öland with special focus on landscape and seascape photography. We will visit the best photo locations both in the southern and northern part of the island. You will be able to take amazing photos of the stunning coastline, lighthouses, windmills and fishing villages. We will take advantage of the most beautiful light and mainly photograph in the mornings and evenings. During the day we have time to edit our photos and I will show you how to get the most out of your photos in just a few steps.

Together we will improve your photography skills and you will be able to create your own stories through photos that speak for themselves. I make sure that you will have an unforgettable photography experience and go home with the feeling to have learned something new!

Itinerary:

Day 1 - Arrival day

In the afternoon, we will meet at the train station in Kalmar. There is possibilities to park your car at the station in case you don’t arrive by train. After picking up all participants, we will go to our first hotel on Öland. On this first day we will have dinner together, talk about the plans for the photo tour, and share other important information before the photo tour begins. If time permits, we will head out for a sunset shoot to one of the nearby places.

Days 2-3 - Exploring the island of Öland

On the next 2 days, we will explore and photograph scenic spots in the southern part of Öland as well as on the northern part of the island. One of the main attraction will be the stunning barren “Great Alvar”. It’s an unique agricultural landscape that reminds you of the African savanna and covers large areas of Southern Öland. There are also beautiful fishing villages, lighthouses and much more to photograph! We will have the chance to shoot both sunrise and sunset. We will plan each day dependent on the weather, but be prepared to be outdoors from sunrise till sunset. We have a list of locations we want to visit during the trip, but we won't have a fixed itinerary to be able to give you the best possible experience.

On our first day I will explain the manual camera settings and basics in composition, but I will of course be available for any questions during the whole trip!

On our last evening of the workshop we will be having our farewell dinner together as a group, and share one last meal and drink together.
